Does it have to be Spring Cleaning?
Once a year we getting into cleaning mode. Well, most people do anyway. What I have noticed is that not everyone wants to do "Spring Cleaning" in the Spring. Is it really set in stone that we clean in the Spring or can we have "Autumn Cleaning" or "Winter Cleaning"?
Seriously, though. Think about when Spring comes along. Some families have kids in baseball so they are worried about that, some families are planning spring break vacations. When do we really have time to deep clean? I purpose a deep clean when you want to. Don't let the season put you off to cleaning. It's your mess, your stuff, your schedule. Clean when you want to!
This topic came up because as of late I have been rearranging my room cleaning out the old and putting up the new! It made me wonder if we are required to only deep clean in the Spring. I say no way. In fact we should be constantly cleaning so that we don't have to deep clean. You know the saying, "Clean as you go." I think this applies very well in this situation.
Don't get me wrong, I'm lacking in the "clean as you go" department. However, if I can teach my four year old while he is young that it is important then he will be able to always have the "clean as you go" option clicked in his brain.
If I could pick a season to do deep cleaning it would have to be autumn/winter. Because it is when it starts to get chili and then cold. Cleaning keeps you warm because you're moving around. Spring is when it starts to warm up into the Summer weather. You don't want to get all hot and sweaty in the Spring. You want to enjoy the nice breeze that Spring has brought along with the warmer weather. You don't want to clean in the Summer for the same hot and sweaty reason as Spring. So, when do you want to deep clean?
