Free Your Mind

Free Your Mind

So here we are. I have decided to list this article under "health" because keeping the mind healthy and active is very important and just as vital as eating and breathing. I was faced with an unexpected response from a family member reguarding the career path I have chosen. To make a long story short, I chose a career that would allow me the oppurtunity to give to others. My choice was looked down upon by one individual because she felt I should be investing my time and money into something that would bring me a larger income in the future.

I can't say she was wrong because we are all entitled to our own opinions. Rightfully, we are all entitled and no one should take that away from another. It got to me and this was my oppurtunity to put what I had been practicing into use. The art of allowing, the power to control my own mind, and wisdom. What I came to conclude was exactly what Queen Elizabeth expressed in a quote I read, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

Napoleon Hill put it best in one of his interviews with Andrew Carnegie. He stated, "The only limitations a person has are the ones they impose on themselves. Everyone was given a gift from our creator at birth which is the power to control our minds to whatever ends we wish. We all have the power to make a choice that will benefit you in the future or one that will set you back.

I made the choice to not allow what she said to influence my decision or take me astray from the plans I made and what I intend on doing to service mankind. How did I do this? I took the negative thought, pond
ered on it and realized it was'nt making me feel any better. It was making me feel worse. Then, I took the positive thought, how I would be helping others, dwelled on it, and realized that it made me feel much better to think about that.

By me focusing on my goal, which is to help anyone I come into contact with, be it with kind words or silent blessings or real sound advice, I was directed to the reason I was put in that position to begin with. I was faced with a choice to listen to what I was being told or ignore it. I came to the conclusion that she helped me confirm the career choice I picked is the right one for me. I didnt have any second doubts about my choice when she gave me her opinion and I explained to her my reason for choosing it.

I was a little confused about whether or not this was for me so I asked for guidance. The key is to be willing to receive the guidance and to be in a constant state of awareness and gratitude for all perspectives. The world is that of adversity and without it we would not be able to grow. Because of the adversity in the world we see what we don't want allowing us to see what we do want more vividly.

I am confident this article will help someone and I am sending blessings to the readers of this in hopes of any challenges you are facing to be overcome. Sometimes we can get stuck in a bad spot because of the way others want us to think and live. Not necessarily a bad thing, I just pray that we can all be surrounded in the multitude of wise, genuine council. walk away from this article knowing that whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve. Make the choice to take control of your mind and break the shackles of imposed beliefs.
