Lame Bible Reading

Lame Bible Reading

Stephen King is a well known author. He had written many books and was successful enough to make even films from some of the stories that he writes about. Its nothing personal, but I have never read one of Stephen´s books so I cannot say what any one of them contain. If for some reason I try to find out what the book entitled "BAG OF BONES" from the mentioned author is about then I would have to read it and not start from the middle of the book if I want to fully understand and grasp the whole story that the author is trying to get across.
Its obvious that there is a Stephen King and words from other people express that he is a good writer. I can neither confirm nor deny how good he is because I am ignorant to his work.

Why do people not read the Bible in such a way as to grasp the full content? How can Christians understand the full concept of Jesus Christ if they only flip pages and read from the different
books that the bible contain? If people want to know the full story and understand what the Bible is about then they have to apply the same principle as with other books. Start from the beginning and read it through until the story ends. Its no wonder Christians get confused at times because they have just small portions of knowledge about Jesus Christ. Yes, many people will say that they have read the new testament but thats also just a portion of the bible. Christians need to get busy reading and studying the Holy book.

I am a Christian so I know how it is to have a scripture just pop in your head and then reach for the bible and really feel that God is trying to speak through his words. It is very encouraging and a good way of God communicating with us. Its just a shame that some of us cannot find answers to questions from the Bible because we dont read it like we would read another book. Practice to read the bible from the front to the back cover. It will help to understand God more.

Good article. Just reading a book is not enough. learning and taking contents to the brain are important.

Great work. I fully enjoyed your analogy about Stephen King. We serve the King of Kings, so I agree we need to work on reading the Bible in it's entirety.

You have some good points here. It is best to read all of any book, including the Holy Bible, in its entirety so as to get the entire message it has for us.

Please note that Bible should begin with a capital B. The word 'Christian' should begin with a capital C. Also, any pronoun referring to Jesus or God should begin with a capital letter. It makes your writing more correct.
