Help your self -esteem!
Do you have low self-esteem? Majority of people in the world experience low self esteem at some point in their lives. Many people turn to others to boost their self-esteem while others turn to other means like drugs or alcohol. I have come across many men and women who fake confidence, but let me tell you something, that doesn\'t fool anyone. Some people might overlook that but thats not very healthy for the person with low self-esteem.I am going to try to help everyone out there that might need help boosting their confidence. The first thing you need to do is think back when you did something new for the very first time. Do you remember the feelings you had? Anxiousness, nervousness and low confidence? Now remember how you felt after you accomplished that new task! You felt confident and realized you had nothing to worry about. Always remember that its normal to feel unsure of yourself and have low self esteem when trying something new. Just don\'t forget how you felt after you finished what you set out to do.Make a list of things you have always wanted to do. Pick something out and do something you have been putting off. This I would say is the easiest step. Some examples are cooking a nice meal, organize your bills, fixing something broken or anything that allows you to make a decision, and stick to it. This will make you feel better about yourself knowing that you accomplished something!Everyone has something they are good at. Do something you are good at like running, writing, singing, anything that keeps your attention. Choose something that will keep you focused and gets you in a peaceful state of mind and lets your inner talent flow. This allows you to forget the world for that amount of time and make you feel accomplished. This does wonders for people who have low self-esteem.The more you think about yourself, the lower your self-esteem gets. I want you to stop thinking about youself. Stop picking your flaws out because everyone has them, its just that some hide it better then others. Instead of focusing on yourself, do something thats gets you absorbed in it. This takes the focus off of you and turned to other things.If you are stressed and feeling low, this means that your thinking to much. Try relaxing and I mean serious relaxing. There are many ways to do this. Some people try excercing, yoga, music, or sitting at the beach. What ever you try make sure it clears your mind. Once your mind is clear this helps your brain be less emotional, and this is a great for people without low self-esteem also. Look back and remember all the things you have achieved. I want you to sit down and think about it. It can be a little difficult at first but after a while this will be easy to remember. I dont mean that you had to become the president of america, just somehting small. I mean passing an exam in high school (dont focus on the nervousness), helpping a person in need even if it didnt go your way, or writing a poem, anything will do. Keep your head up dont let this stress you out, take breaks if you need to.Remember that your feelings could be wrong. When you feel bad about yourself, this affects the way you remember things, how you feel about yourself, and effect your behaviour. This is when relaxing is good to try. Once you have tried these steps you should feel better about yourself. Always keep in mind that the way you view yourself effects everything about you so let go of your flaws and focus on the good.
