Soul

Soul

A great deal of debate seems to be on channels nowadays on the issue wheather there is something called Soul.In fact,i saw a clipping on one of the channels declaring that psychiatrist say that anybody who talks about souls is a Lunatic. They were even showing pictures of soul which rationalists said was trick photography.
Of course, these TV debates put down the whole debate to level of TRPs putting the real issue of Soul to the backburner. But whatever, what is that a living, breathing, talking person suddenly becomes still, silent. What was there in it,which is now gone. What is inside us which is constantly the same despite we becoming a child, adult and then an old man. What is that which guides us sometimes when we are in two minds. What is that we can feel is pure in all children but is grossly contaminated in most adults.I think it cannot be anything e
lse but what believers or non-believers,call as Soul.
It is not neccessary that truth is only what is visible on still or moving cameras. We believe there was a man who lived by the name of Mahatma Gandhi because we have seen his visuals but we do believe that there existed a man by the name of Emperor Akbar although we have no photograph of him.We believe Lord Rama or Krishna once walked on this earth because that is written in our scriptures but we dont believe there is something called Soul since there is no proof.

  • Another thing which puzzles is that in Geeta, lord says that don't grieve over dead because soul never dies but only changes bodies to live. And he also says that soul neither dies nor takes birth but where did the soul come from, for the first time. This question is truly puzzling and surely the debate continues as to wheather the soul exists or not.

Soul is experienced by the continuous I-sensation, like I see, I hear, I smell, I touch, I taste, I think, I work, I go and the like.
