Many say the most important things in life are learn outside the classroom. There are so many precious stuff beyond the four walls and the school compound.

The Precious Stuff
What is the most important thing in life you might wonder. People live the cycle as others do, and that is how human being live and what is the life is all about. We born, learn, work, play, married, get old and die away eventually. In the process, how many of us would calm down for one second and ponder the precious things in life? To date, wars are still going on. As a student, besides school books, the most important things in life are found beyond classroom. After all, outside the school precint mould a part of who we are.

As a teenager going through a critical phase, we often feel insecure, undecisive, skeptical, curious and often rebellious. This is why we are claimed to have reputation on teen issues such as pot smoking, theft, gangsterism and vandalisme. I would not deny that teenagers are the youth who also claimed to be full of enthusiasm, exuberant personalities and energy. However, what we often do, is just full of chaos to the society. To be clear, I am not saying we are society parasites, that is just too dramatic. Despite the negatives, this growing group nees guidance, support and counselling from the grown-ups. Which mean, parents play a pivotal role in knock some sense of realization into us. What the teenagers have to learn is love and caring in the family. When these values are non-existent in the family unit, children will never learn about love and how to care for one another. Case in point, children being born in a violent family are more likely to act wild and out of control. While on the other hand, children being born in a typical normal family learn better about love and caring. Parent's guidance and as model role to the chilfren are important as they will mould the children's personality through out their phase and form better adults.

So, personality is formed. What is coming next would be family rapport. A happy family does not mean it has to be well-off affluent unit. What matters is how good the conditon of the relationship between the members especially with parents. As a whole, there are only three aspects of which are important to an individual in life - family, health and career(not in sequence). For some people, family stands a special place to them. Meaning, family could be the utmost important in one's life. Isn't it true? Well it is crystal clear that since we were all little, being innocent and spoiled were expecting to have it all handed to us on a silver platter. Our parents, being our flesh and blood, never whine a word. Even when we are feeling up or down, they are always right there with us and share the moment. When we get older, have a successful career, having them around is a blessing. Giving them hundreds or thousands of ringgit a month is not enough, what they really need is love and caring from us. Just remember how important it is to you when you have your own children and how will they treat you back in the times to come.

Loyalty and friendship are also tested outside the cloassroom. No man is an island. Everyone needs a friend. You do not have to have a group of friends, one is enough. But of course, making a circle of friends is always an advantage. Apart from family, having a good friend is also important. Friends always bring joy and fun to us. The most important thing between a friend, is a sense of trust. Trust also in line with sharing. When you share about a memory or experience with a friend, it is because you trust your friend and he or she is should be a clse one and has stood the test of time, not just a mere of the name "best friend" as it claimed. When you are in trouble or dealing with a hard time as family member passed away in a tragic, what you really need is comfort and support from someone, and that is your only friend. Your friend is always willing to lend you a shoulder to cry on and gives you comfort. And that is when a friend in need, is a real friend indeed. Thus, when you learn loyalty and respect with each other, a true friendship is blossomed.

In a nutshell, all these cannot be learned in school books nor in the classroom. To learn to become who you are, it is always starts from home as charity also begins from home. As moral values are rooted in you, you will start making friends both at school and outside the school. And that is when you learn loyalty and friendship which you might just learn the theory from books in school! Hence, the most precious thins are definitely found outside the school.
