What is a Successful Life?
Almost every meeting of any corporation is about bringing success to a project or an event. As individuals, we constantly seek to attain success in our personal lives. The moment we step out on our own, we aim for a succesful life.
But what defines a successful life? Is it having the biggest house in the block? Or maybe becoming the CEO of a big corporation? Having millions in the bank? Being the most popular guy or gal in town? Having the most beautiful skin or face? Being the top in your class? Having the best voice in the choir? Well, how can we really measure success?
Success means you have fully attained true satisfaction of where you are and who you are now. Success is not the same for each person. So it is very important to know what exactly will make you happy and feel contented in life. You must know yourself and you must be true to your passion and interests. Do not try to imitate other people just so you will feel big and important. That will not work. Be honest with who you really want to be and aim to be that person.
Cultivate friendships that will allow you to know yourself better and by your association with your friends, you can grow into maturity. Open your mind to the happen
Successful life has been mistaken as meaning acquiring lots of money, having the most powerful position and being the most sought after celebrity. Not so if one is not happy and fully contented in his heart. A successful life means you are happy with your job, happy with your friends and most especially happy with your family. You do not feel alone and you are always enjoying who you have become and what you have contributed to your community, in simple or big ways. When you mean so much to your family, your friends and your community, then you have found success. Success is when you find joy from someone or something that you want to share to your loved ones and to your community.
There are many ways to interpret success but if happiness and joy do not result from any of them, then it is not true success. When you reach that point when you are satisfied with what you have. When you look forward to the next day with hope and enthusiasm. When you can share your life and feel good about it. When you can smile at everyone you meet and be genuinely joyful you are living in this world, then you have attained a truly successful life!
