chpt. 2 on I'm 15 ?: Mass

As soon as the guys left, I went into the living room, a chair already set up for me. The lady brushed my hair and she and my mom argued about how my hair should be done. It was so annoying, and to top it off that one guy began to do more makeup. More arguments. It seemes as if we were there for hours until I finally got up. Time to put on the dress. My mom and all my aunts and girl cousins crowded into my room, helping me put on my dress. They were all being really loud, critizising me and then saying, "oh you look so pretty.."

My dress was sleeveless and aqua. It reached all the way to my feet. My cousins put on my flats on for me, since I couldn't move and my aunts put on that flowery thing that goes on in your hair. Finally I was done and my mom almost cried. Soon, they all left me in my room and the first thing I did was look in the mirror. I had recently dyed my hair from brown to black, so it looked really shiny. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed any bangs so all of my hair was pulled into this fancy bun that took an hour to make. The makeup was really natural and pure. The only thing that wasn't were my eyes, I put some black liner in the bottom when no one was looking. Perfect.

"Claudie!!" my aunt Martha called. "The limousine is here!" I rushed out of the room, very careful not to tread on the dress. Everyone was already outside, awing the beautiful white limo. Only me and my cousins that were going to dance with me were allowed on it. That reminded me, Miguel! My 16 year old cousin that was my dance partner, where was he?! All the cousins were getting inside the limo, but I went towards my mom. "Where is Miguel?", I asked her. She looked suprised and pointed towards the house. There he was, in a white pachuco suit carrying his little sister. He came towards me and put her down and helped me step into the limo. "Where were you?", I asked. I didn't mean to sound too whiny. I looked around the limo and the seats were like aligned like a snake. They shut the door and it was almost pitch black, except for these lights that were on the ceiling.

"Well," Miguel started. "I was with all the tios and your dad at the salon where the party is at and I was helping them unpack all the sodas and meat.." "Oh," I said staring at Omar pulling out a soda from a freezer. "I want one!" said gaby. "Hey me too!". "Get me one you faggot!", Miguel yelled out. The sodas were all p
assed out and I drank mine very carefully, so I wouldn't spill any on my dress. Roy took out a CD and played it on the limousine stero. The limosine was filled with laughter, karoke, and the guys would open the window to say cusswords at all the drivers. The fun ended as soon as the limo pulled out in front of the church. I was really nervous. Instead of going in the normal way, we all went in from the back of the church. We were inside a very small room and my aunt Diana was getting everyone positioned. There was a curtain separating us from the whole church. I had to peek, so I did. The church was already filled with relatives. They were all dressed up, even though I knew some of the men wouldn't have if their wives hadn't insisted. Little kids were running around, a baby was crying and some preteens were at the door, apparently really bored. I took the chance to look over how my cousins looked like, the ones that were with me right now. All the girls (Gaby, Sabrina, Yaritzi, and Blanca) wore this light blue dress with their hair down, be it straight or curly. All the guys wore black pachuco suits with blue ties and cuffs. Roy, wore his hair like usual, short in the back, emo in the front. Richi and Omar had short hair, they couldn't even spike it or anything. Then there was luis he had it long and spiked. Finally, Miguel, my partner, wore a white suit with his tie and cuffs matching the color of my dress. Finally, it was time to enter the church. I grabbed Miguel's arm we went inside. All my family looked at me and the photo guy took pictures. My sister, in jeans and shirt, handed me roses that I had to go offer to the Virgen Mary. I let go of Miguel, and he and all my dancers went to sit down. I went to the other side of the church, all by myself, with everyone watching, and knelt down to where the big portrait of Virgen Mary stood. I said a quick prayer and put the roses in a vase under her feet, rose up and went up to where the father was at.

The mass began and I had to stand up in front of everyone while it was going on. Then, the last part finally came. I had to read from the bible and then it was over.

Everyone came up to me to congratulate and take a photo with me. That lasted pretty much a whole hour. Then everyone went home for about 2 hours, then they would go to the party when it started. The 2 hours were pretty much there because I had to go take pictures with my dancers, and we wouldn't be back until later.

We got into the limo once again. We were going to a pretty park to go take pictures.

*Chpt 3 will be called: Pictures :)
