to build a cabin- an insperation

To build a cabin- an insperational piece

To know yourself, Who else should know you better. Problem one of course is that your never alone enough to even think, hurry up go go go, wake up go go go, eat go go go, work, go and go and go, maybe you have time to rest but do you rest alone. When were you last alone? While you live you grow, and this goes on to the ends of your life, but how much you grow stems from the time you spend learning from the actions of life.

Life Is Lonely, for the simple reason that we are alone. There isn't anyone else inside our heads but us. Why lie or cheat ourselves? Separate yourself and you will see, I can only show a path and hope its followed, But as always alone you must decide to walk it or not. I built a cabin, that was my way out of the rush, I never took the time for self thought so it just kept bu
ilding up and up, so as things go I knew it had to be an exscape for some time. When you start giving yourself the time, you start to realize how easy it is, why fight and gravel for what you will knowingly lose. Give your self the oppurtunity to grow alone and the rest will fall much easier.

Two, four month trips to the woods, that's about what it takes. Find a plot a land with a nice grove of spruce, up northern way you can find it much cheaper. You pitch a tent, you eat canned or wild food, You cut and sap peel logs let them dry for that year, come back up the following and you just start doing it. The key is that you are away from noise and tv and cars and bills and nothing more than distraction upon another. Go with a friend, it really doesn't change much, just four weeks in you'll be so stir crazy you rather be talking to a stump. But you are forced to deal with you and that's the point. Be happy JFEW

Although I don't fully agree with all your thoughts, I appreciate you sharing them. You see, I believe that a "distraction" isn't a distraction unless you decide to make it one. Once you think something is a distraction, it becomes a downward spiral; making you stuck in shallow materialism and distracting you from what can be potentially spiritually uplifting.

Everything around and within you, seen or unseen is worth appreciating and comtemplating; you may never know but what you maybe taking as a distraction may actually aid you spiritually.

Here's an example: as a Muslim, I pray 5 times a day. In prayer, we think of God, His signs, and His glory. During some of my prayers in my grandmother's house, I'd be distracted by the noisy children, family talking in the other rooms, etc. but I realized that when I used the noise to contemplate God's glory, like I used the children noise for example to contemplate on my childhood and how much I and others have been changing in all spheres of life and in every moment.

I hope that I get to hear your thoughts about my comment here; I'd be happy to have discussions about such things.
